AC/DC Tour 08-09 coming up

should have went to your local ticketmaster and camped outside, i did this to avoid the likely ticketmaster server crash :D
I highly doubt it mate. I do have things to do you know, such as college etc. No thanks. And I have no idea where my nearest Ticketmaster office is, probably Manchester, and thats a good 40 minutes away. -.-

Just shows how times change.
When I went to see ACDC 3 times with Bon Scott, you could pay on the door.
Mind you thats when SOUNDS, NME & Melody Maker used to call them a poor mans Status Quo.

I hope theres going to be a Glasgow gig. Joining the fanclub will get you a better chance of tickets. Its 20 quid and way less than paying a tout.

Is anyone going to Europe to catch them there instead? I might go to the Madrid concert as well if I can get tickets.

How annoyed am I, had no idea this was today :( No chance of getting a ticket without paying stupid money now.

They will be back for the festivals, well at least a few in 2009, hell, might even get a London park just for them. Its the way tours are done these days.

have we got any idea who is supporting? has to be someone pretty big surely?

airbourne maybe ? :)

The Answer are supporting them in the good old USA, So im really hoping they support over here too. Love the Answer - seen em so many times never get bored of seeing them :D

Going to see Airbourne (again) on Nov 19th.
They are what ACDC aren't now (I know what I meant).

The Answer -
I remember posting in a thread that I was off to see the 'next big thing' and I enjoyed the 2 local support bands more.

Rumours are (can't confirm the source) that a huge number of tickets had already been 'sold' a couple of days before they officially went on sale.

It's not just normal touts making much moolah on this, have you seen the number of tickets almost immediately available through agencies - often offering a ticket + hotel package.

The whole thing sucks! :(

Would have thought the would have played Newcastle, plus quite a few more dates. Would have tried to get a ticket if I had had the money. I'm guessing they'll be at either Download or Leeds/Reading next year, so will likely catch them there.

Good news to all of us who missed out, they've added some stadium dates and I'm not missing out this time and may even join the fan club to make sure, here they are:

26 Jun 2009 - Wembley Stadium

28 Jun 2009 - Dublin - Punchestown Racetrack

30 Jun 2009 - Glasgow - Hampden Park

Completely devastated ... tickets went on sale, got in early, got 4 reserved, selected billing details, clicked submit - "Sorry, we can't process your request right now, please try again." After 30- mins of further trying, now it's saying there's nothing available. Gutted. Absolutely gutted.
