Well i was driving my mums car and i might have pushed it a little to hard down this really fun dip (i also needed to get speed up to come out the over side) :p
After we come out of the top of it the Accelerater felt like it was softer then normal and i could push it in about an inch before it felt like it did anything. Is this bad or just a reaction to the Gs that u get from driving down a dip like that and makes your foot feel stronger then what it did before i drove down?
What would be causing it if its not just a reaction to the feeling of going down the dip?

Btw the dip looks like the letter U:)

I have a big 'U' shaped dip near me which I drive for fun regularly, I've never experienced that though.

Nice! You're lucky the wheels didn't fall off if you went down a U dip  I know of a V dip, but not a U dip! :p All this talk about dip is making me hungry...

Could be the throttle cable has become slack? Has the pedal gone really really soft, or does it still have a bit of tension in it before the car responds?

It gets tension after i push it in about an inch or two. It feels looser then what it did before i went through the dip. Just hope mum doesnt feel the difference :)

Stick your head under the bonnet, near the carbs should be a nut and bolt type fixing with a cable going through it or a rubber bung in a metal clamp, adjust it so the cable is fairly tight, not so the car revs at 3k tho lol 950rpm (just under 1k) is about right.

What kind of car is it?

Its a Subaru L series sports wagon.
I was concentating on staying on the road and not loosing it (theres about 5 or 6 fatality markers on the dip) i forgot to change from 3rd to 4th and i hit 120kms. Could that have down it?

(120kms) 70mph in 3rd? no problem for that car, ive hit 75-80mph when the rev limiter kicks in-in a 1.1L fiat punto lol

Thanks for reassuring me on that. I **** myself when i relized i was in third still once i got back up the top. Its probably the most the car has ever been pushed :p

I dont really know much on subaru's but if its fairly new it should have rev limiter too (most cars do), it wont let the enigne run any faster than it should so as long as you dont run it for more than 3-4 seconds on the limiter you wont do anything to the enigne at all.

There are 6-7 fatality markers and you insist of ragging the car to an extent of on the brink of losing it.

Crazy.

I know my limets and will not push them. I only started pushing the car once i was near the bottem of the dip so i had full control of it.
Most of the fatality markers are from people speeding through it going well over 120kms before they even reach the start of the dip.

It might have one, find a straight unused road stick it in 2nd and find out lol not really, if its your mums i wouldnt worry about performance.

I know its got reasonably crap performance so theres no need to test that :p
I was more worryed i had killed something. If i kill the car mum will neuter me
