Hey guys,

Today I got a ticket from a member of staff asking if they could have a new mouse simply because the old one was uncomfortable. Would there be a notable difference in comfort from mouse to mouse?

I know some mice require the user to 'claw' and some that require the user to 'palm', Do you think its a good enough reason to get some mice in and let them try them out? Or do you think that a different mouse wouldn't make any difference?

A mouse really is personal preference. It's just that some care more than others.

I have massive hands and I'm still searching for something that feels just right. If I was really into my gaming it'd be a big issue.

in my opinion, if you're using a mouse all day for your job, you'd want one that was comfortable. Yes there are differences in comfort.

It depends on company I suppose, we have 1 type of mouse and if anyone needs a different one they have to provide a good enough reason to get through the bean counters or an EHS report.

People are also free to bring in their own as well if they wish.

Doesn't hurt to have a box of assorted mice somewhere. I figure mice could be cited in RSI claims. Failing that 'encourage' staff to fetch their own from home, but restrict to ps/2??
