Access database...on a website

I don't know anything about web coding so im asking this for my manager

He has a passworded access database that he wants to put on a website, once on the website he wants people to be able to use the password to edit it, can this be done and if so how?

can be done with data access pages, but it's not the best solution, and I'm not sure about password protection

You could also write code in ASP to do it, but again, access isn't the best system for the backend, something like SQL server would be much better.
