Hi all,

Running a Cisco router now at home so my RT-N66U is running in AP mode. It's a little overkill to be honest, any cheap devices that will give decent wireless performance through the house?

True but I could sell the router for like £100 or so and get a couple of access points instead, may give better coverage.

You could sell it for around £55 after a vague look on eBay, lose 10% to fees, then have to ship it and end up with around £45. You aren't buying two APs for that sort of money, so if the router as an AP is working fine for you then keep it.

I didn't realise they were going so cheap now.

They are £80-100 brand new these days from big high street retailers. 2nd hand you'd be lucky to get £60 cash in your pocket.

I was in a similar place a few months ago but I have two N56's and they are worth about £25!!! Wasn't worth selling and I just use them as overkill dual band AP's
