I'm thinking about buying 2 of the 500gb Seagate 7200.12s on the weekly offer at the moment and RAID 0ing them for games and OS and using my 1tb F1 for photos, music and videos. The 500gb 7200.12s look brilliant, apart from one thing. The access time. Apparently the 'quiet seek' operation makes the access times a fair bit higher than comparable drives and I'm unsure of the impact this would have when running games off it? Can anyone enlighten me as I'd like to order today but absolutely hate 'micro stutter' type lag in my games!
