Accessing external address, internally

Hi all,

I am trying to work out how I can use the same address externally as I can internally.

I want to be able to use xxx.dyndns.org from inside my own network, which should simplify things rather than needing to use ip addresses.

Is this possible?

I have a D-Link DSL2740 Modem with a static external ip address and I use Airport Extreme Base Station for everything else.

I have googled but I really don't understand what you need to do!

Any help would be gratefully appreciated

stick the local address in your host file?

windows\system32\drivers\etc

NAT loopback is what you are looking for, not sure if your router supports it.

Some routers call this NAT reflection.
