Today has been a very surreal as I was involved in my first ever crash a nice big one.

Basically was on a 60 mph road halfway up there is a right turn. Two cars infront of me was turning right so naturally everyone slowed down and we came to a stop (car turning right, car infront of me, me and my friend who was behind me). The next thing I know I see my friend coming straight at me from know where hitting my heavily in the back right with him eventually ending up 20m in front of me. The cause being is that a double decker bus behind my friend obviously didn't notice stopped traffic and gone straight into the back of my stationary friend at considerable speed.

His car is a right off, not sure about mine but it was undriveable so looking like a right off.

Have a replacement car coming tomorrow and shortly after accident went A&E
affter suffering neck pains and have very bad whip lash. After speaking to people they reccomend creating a personal injury claim. But is this done through insurance or better to go through seperate group like helphire?

Thanks

From personal experience, dont touch HelpHire with a barge pole.

Glad to hear your pretty much ok though. how is your mate? I imagin being hit by a bus will be quite a whack. Anyone else injured?

On my I phone at the moment but will post some picture tomorrow of the cars.
Yea my friend is doing alright now just had stomach problems due to belt so been told if he feels Ill or faints to go striaht a&e the passenger in his car got whiplash and a sprained ligament in his knee. Lucky know one was in the back of his car as the boot had merged into rear seats and was about an inch of room from
the rear seats to front seat if there was a passanger was I there would have been a serious problem. Ford fiesta 01
Passenger in my car just had similar problems.

Lucky, that knowone is seriosuly injured could have easily been a lot worse!

If someone did that to my car I'd get out and beat them up with a keyboard :(

Ha ha I think he would have done if he could have gotten into his boot. Still don't know how he managed to stop it from rolling. Whitness said it was like his car jumped in air when was hit. Airbags didn't work though. Or do they not when hit from behind?

Off topic, but it's "write off", as in "My car has been written off.".

You try writing the same post with probable shock

OP, I can recommend a very very good solicitor if you want. He's been in a similar accident himself (being hit by a bus) so knows what it feels like.

My email is in trust.

Thanks for that will email you tomorrow evening. Is it better to go through solicited rather then you insurance company?? I was the driver who was struck from the back by mate

your insurance company will likely just get a seperate solicitor to pick up any persoal injury claim anyway, so all your doing is cutting out the middle man.

Why would you want them to, to force you back into your seat even harder?

I was wondering if blame was going to be passed to your friend for your injury and then they claim from the bus company. Spoke to my solicitor friend and by the sounds of it, everyone is going to blame from the bus company as the driver was clearly at fault.

The bus company will probably have onboard video of the whole thing aswell so it sounds like a very simple case.

My mate is willing to take a look for you :)

Here is the back of my mates car:

The boot has merged into the back seats so lucky know one was there.

From the picture you can't see the impact and damage as it was all on the right hand side but hoping that it might be repairable.
