Accidentally formatted - best software to recover?

As title, formatte a drive by accident. Was installing windows and selected the wrong drive.

What's the best (easiest to use) software to recover it?

not sure about your question but just a warning dont do ANYTHING with the drive. you could lose little bits of important data.

Stick the drive as a slave in another computer and then get a copy of a data recovery tool such as GetDataBack. Make sure you don't install this on your formatted drive.

lol - thats gotta hurt. Bit like when I did rm -rf * in the / partition. Glad I wasn't root and it just took out the areas I had write to.

I've used a program called "Recover My Files" which was very good, found everything on a drive that had been formatted and had win XP installed on, impressed me.

Not true. There is software available to get a lot of the data back.

getbackNTFS, Easy Recovery Pro and pc inspector file recovery always worked for me, dunno about being knackered. Just don't use the drive as a system drive, slave only so data won't get written on it.
