I am heading to Liverpool next month for a stag do with a few folk and I wonder if anyone can recommend a good place to stay. Somewhere close to the city centre.

I have never been to Liverpool and since I'm not from the mainland I couldn't tell you the good and bad areas or even where the good spots are especially for a stag. I don't want to go and book a place and find it miles from the good places or its stuck in an area where you need security to escort you to your place of stay.

I was told about Premier Inn but it seems the only available stay with them is at West Derby which according to their website is 3 miles from the city centre if I read it right.

Thanks for any help that you can provide.

The Herculaneum Bridge inn is in toxeth, the missus and myself stayed there a few years ago while over for a match and trackday trip quite cheap and they served us drink til we didnt want norneed any more. I think its around 1.5 miles from the town centre or 5 mins in the car.

Hotels nearby as above but also there's one by Lime St. Station (I can't remember what it's called lol, not the Liner, it's off London Road if you have a map).

You also have the Marriot (I took my parents here) in the city centre too and if it's finished yet the new Hilton Tower.

All depends how much you're wanting to spend, as like any major city there's plenty of hotels/apartments on offer.

Hatton Garden apartments are pretty nice, and very close to the action but not so close that you wont get any sleep at night. Some others you might want to look at:
Malmaison
Sir Thomas Hotel
Crown Plaza
Marriott
Radisson SAS
