Account number same 16 digits changed

Ive got my new visa debit through after the other one was cancelled due to fraud. The last 4 of the 16 digits has changed but the account number hasnt.

Which companies do i need to inform? (if any)

I just rang vodafone and she said 16 digits is only used for manual transactions or something :confused:

All ive got setup is Vodafone, NTL, Ebay and Paypal (visa is overflow incase cash card hasnt got money in)
 
Everything setup will need changing, direct debit. I lost my card a while back and got a new one with a different number, it was the same account, my old card was disabled and my old ISP couldn't take money from my account which was when I remembered to change it.
 
The direct debits shouldn't be affected?

They rely on your account number and sort code, nothing to do with your card number.. unless you've set up ebay to remember that specific card.

Correct. You don't need to change your account number for a lost card either. Anything that comes off your debit card (check your account online for POS transactions) will need the new number, but otherwise nothing needs to be changed.

mahahahaha ;) no but serious i only suspected it was nationwide because when they gave me a new visa debit card they only changed the last 4 digits for me aswell :p
