I need to upgrade my old sage line 50 v7 software. I need a version that can do barcodes and BOM (Build of materials), Sages Accounts 2010 plus does it but its close to £800, can anyone recommend an alternative?

Sorry I don't know the answer but for BOMs / inventory control and barcode functionality, I doubt you'll be looking at paying much less and I find Sage to be very good in general (with a few minor annoyances).

Mind if I ask the context? Is this your own business or are you an accountant there?

its my business. v7 is years old but does the trick (apart from barcodes) but my accountants cant import the data anymore as its too old + barcoding will be a great help

any other thoughts on this? I've found Asiability accounts but not sure if it does build of materials (BOM) does anyone know if it does.

the other one is mamut accounting but seems expensive, anyone had any experience of it.
