There have been many incidents really of members starting on other members calling them trolls

if you think that people are trolling them RTM it do not accuse people in threads

While I don't feel there is any need to take any action against people that do this, if it becomes repetitive then we will have to

also please be aware that having a different opinion to yourself does not make them a troll, having said that anyone genuinely trolling will be dealt with

Thanks in advance

I have RTM a few posts recently, I don't mind it in the banter thread but people just throwing out Wigan insults for no reason. Their is a gang that like that to join in and laugh/post amongst themselves.

Years ago I was a bit of **** but I have moved on from that stage and learned from my suspensions.

I won't comment on individuals and individual matters, hopefully we can have a bit of a laugh

In general having a bit of a laugh at someones team is not really trolling as long as it doesn't turn personal

If someone wants to take the **** out of Liverpool then that doesn't bother me

really? The way the SA is being enforced these days its getting to the point where it's anything but a laugh

You've done me twice recently, today just for playing on another users username (one that G!mp created), if I complained every time Baz called Fergie Taggart would anything be done about it? Course it wouldn't because it's a trivial point. At least I did mine in a banter thread

Maybe I'll just use the RTM for anything I take offence with just to level things out....

why would Baz calling Fergie Taggart offend you ?

calling another member could bother them and we did receive complaints about it

they are totally different

There is no need to make a big deal of this

All I am saying is if someone os trolling then RTM it and not accuse on the thread

totally simple, no big deal and intended to stop arguments

While we're on the subject can we do something about the people that wander into threads discussing a particular match who have no affiliation to either team, who then go on to post things like:

"Hhahaha hat Mancs, glad they lost"

The people who enter threads just to have a pop?

Can we do something about them?

it's a good point and yes we can deal with that if it's just to cause trouble

I would add though that people are allowed to want whoever they want to win a game even if it's not their team, there is nothing wrong with someone wanting the "other team" to win solely because of who they are playing, that's all part of the game

Want to talk about trolling how about ***** posts in the match day thread, every post just putting a negative spin on United reaching e champions league final

the whole point is to stop what you have just done, report things rather than naming another member as a troll

Except when you go to report a post it says

.

I wouldn't call his post spam, not in the way that I consider a spam post anyway

it will still RTM, many folks report trolling

TBH if you are referring to his posts tonight then they are fairly harmless

So was my post that you did me for earlier tbh

no it wasn't, the matter is closed, the rules state that if you want to discuss moderating issues you do it offline

you made a derogatory post about another member, simple as that, others saw it the same as per the RTMs

Indeed, there's 3-4 in there that make me want to vom :/

Motors is quite intimidating to the non regulars tbh, I am trying to make it open to all in here while keeping the idiots out, it's a very fine line when there are both folks that come in to cause trouble and more frequent posters who make infrequent users feel unwelcome/intimidated, I am trying to get some sort of balance :)

Motors is just one big willy waving contest of the 'in crowd' trying to act elitist and put non-regular posters down. Its stupid and tiresome, and part of the reason I dont post in there very much.

I'm all for this not calling people trolls stuff, as long as you start warning people that post with the sole intention of getting a reaction of out of other supporters (technically, they are trolling) every time Man Utd (as an example) play. :)

That is exactly the point

you do have to remember that it is just as vlaid to want any team to lose as it is to want them to win, it's a case of trying to work put intentions

Just ban the ****tards that have no posts in SA and crawl out for the "big" games, rip on one side then crawl back in to the wood work. Gaylords.

I have no problem with new members, but they should probably just try getting involved in more then one thread, one on day and stay around longer then a couple of hours.

the intention is that if they don't get a reaction then they get bored and bugger off back to whence they came
