I've only managed to play with it for about 2 hours, but the good news is that my peripherals arrived today :cool:

Only thing that could make it sweeter would be if I had a ******* laser beam attached to my head.

I managed to wing the day off work today and have just had a nose round the trafford centre store.... Was tempted to just go nuts!

Glad all is good... how much ram did you go for in the end??

ps monitor arrived - and plugged in its not bad.. viewing angle is ok - but the glare from my window is beginning to annoy... going to have to invest in some blinds!

I got 8GB of RAM installed (4x 2GB DIMMs) and I have the stock 2GB (2x 1GB) laying around.

Contemplating leaving the 2GB out, as I can keep them safe for troubleshooting.

It's a Pro monitor and comes with a tilt stand. Look around, everything else in that price range comes with a hefty height adjustable stand and will pivot into portrait. Maybe poor was the wrong word (it's certainly not badly made), more like featureless.

The 30" ACD is two generations behind possibly three, LG have made Q1, Q3 and Q5(the latest) revisions of the 30" LCD panel modules.

The 23" ACD is end of life.

23" Not one regret at all.. its a fantastic display.

I had to take the first one back, as there were a cluster of dead pixels near the bottom right of the screen - but they were really happy to swap it..(well not happy!) but swapped it straight away...

The new one is stonking!

EDIT//oooh 666th post... hmm!
