Read my review of the NEC in the TFT review thread. Swap something of this sheer unadulterated quality for a mere extra 2"? Not a chance. :D

When I was looking to get a new monitor it was this review that persuaded me to part with my cash and get the NEC.

I've just taken delivery of the NEC and all I can say is the picture is superb....can't fault it one bit! The glossy screen takes a little getting used to! It's like chalk and cheese with the Viewsonic 22" I had for a couple of days! The 20" is a better size than the 22", found myself getting neck ache with the viewsonic but that is quite a high standing screen!

Viewing angles are great no backlight bleed or dead pixels. Games look like movies! The USB hub is a useful addition.

You get what you pay for!!

Heh cool... and what do you think of it now you have it? :)

I've loved it from the day I first put it on my desk. I'm actually thinking of getting a second to replace my old 17" :D

Steve, here's a picture of the NEC:

So that you can tell how much better it is compared to my second I've got the same page displayed on both:

The colour reproduction on the NEC is second to none. This is in text mode, there are number of modes available for different usage e.g. games where the screen looks brighter making it easier to see in those dark games.

Its not a problem for me as the screen isn't in direct sunlight. As I've got used to it I've found it to enhance the image rather than hinder me in anyway.

The pic is helpful, cant wait to get mine ordered now.

This is the one thing that does worry me, it will be right bang infront of a window and so the light will be shining directly on to it.

Hopefully it will be ok, if not then I will just have to problem solve!

In direct sunlight you will get a lot of glare but if you draw the curtains you'll be fine.
