1GB dedicated Nvidia Gt 240M

This Laptop is starting to struggle on games and was wondering if there anything I can do to without voiding the warranty to make it a bit faster - willing to spend money on it and it's a good neat laptop

There's nothing you can do much for a laptop... have you tried updating drivers for the 240M?

Yes you can! You can buy my 6770M with 1GB of GDDR5 (from the members market).

Your GFX card is MXM and is located under the user servicable hatch (so no major work needed).

Just open the hatch, remove two screws on the card and flip it up and out, place some thermal paste on the HS (gfx card sits core down so it's the best way to do it). Put the 6770M in and down and put the two screws back in.

Takes about 5 mins and triples your gaming horse-power.

Need to send it back for repair? Just keep your old card and reverse the process.

The card has been tried and found to work in this machine.

For a small cost you can turn your machine into a DX11 capable machine.

SSD hdd would certainly decrease lag loading times.

I think that's a bit more complicated and I'm not up to the challenge, And I can't be bothered to re load windows etc. So i'll pass
