I feel like this screen is getting a bit old now, but I don't know if it's worth upgrading for a newer monitor of the same size. I don't have room for anything bigger, but 120hz doesn't seem all that now that I have a decent PC.

Any thoughts/recommendations please?

Thanks

I have an Acer Predator X34 100Hz monitor and it's still as good as when I got it.

However, considering this:

Cheapest price I've seen it at, it has been as high as £1000 on OCUK.

Not sure what OCUK's policy is about dead pixels, though.

Looking at the X28 myself £100 cheaper pretty much same panel, I dont think I have the grunt for higher one with only laptop 3070ti

Well, you can always use a frame limiter.

If I got the one I linked, no way could I run imodern games at 360hz with full bells and whistles with a 4090, more likely limit it to 120Hz.

Even a 5090 couldn't run it a full pelt.

I had an Acer Predator X34 (100hz) for many years, fantastic monitor.
Tried out a couple of OLEDs and hated the text and general clarity and the Gsync just didnt feel right, like it was 'disconnecting' the frames or not a fluid or something so sent both back after a few days.

I wanted to stay with a proper Gsync module screen screen and found a second hand, light use LG 34GP950GB from CEX for £320, this - https://www.lg.com/uk/monitors/gaming/34gp950g-b/
It runs at 180hz and is fantastic with my 4090. It's currently set to 120hz with a Strix 980 Ti I paid £60 for as my 4090 is in the RMA process, gsync shines here as FPS/refresh rate can tank to 30 or less which smooths out nicely with Gsync ultimate.

Sold the Acer Predator to someone in my apartments block around a year ago for £150 (originally paid £1000) I expect it's still going strong :)
