This won't be the only competition. If this is coming, it means the exclusivity clause with ASUS is elapsing. You should expect similar products (with or without G-Synch) from all the usual suspects - BenQ, Viewsonic, Philips, iiyama, possibly Eizo.

Unless they collude on the price, it should come in very significantly below the ROG Swift - particularly any non G-Synch models.

There will most likely be 1440p/144hz freesync models coming as well..
