oops. sorry

this seems like a bargain to me. Good GPU, CPU, RAM etc.. why has no one mentioned this before?

Also this vs the 6930g, isnt this one the better laptop?

cheers

Please remove the competitor link Salami.

aside from that, Acer laptops are usually well specced and reasonably well built (if not made from the best materials) but can sometimes have odd design features/quirks (some of them are quite remarkably ugly, for example)

oh, and Acer's customer service is pretty terrible.

The support on their site for providing drivers is good however when I tried to fix a screwed wireless driver during a re-install from a corrupt disc using drivers from their, it failed to install a network controller every time and I ended up respoting to e-mailing them. Apparently their support e-mail address is for hardware faults only and the only way to contact software support is a 50ppm helpline; so I bought a PCMCIA card for under £5 and that fixed the problem.

We all know the phone call would have been more than 10 minutes of 'have you got the driver from us? are you trying to install the driver for the correct operating system?' etc.

Only ever had trouble with the girlfirends laptop, mine and my Aspire ONE have been well supported and never gone wrong like hers seems to :/

whats the model number of what you're on about?

I am torn between a £450 Dell Studio 1555 refurbished, or a new Acer for more.
