Aces of Thunder

Can't find a thread for this so apologies if there is already one.

Seems to be an odd kind of running joke re it's release date (on social media).

It looks fanatsic and has gone up for sale today on the Playstation store for £24.99 (release date 02/09).

So here's hoping for a soonish Steam release

Had a read about this today.
Visuals look OK, but beyond that, looks to me like Gaijin have just packaged up a bunch of WT aircraft.
Apparently it shares the flight model with WT, and doesn't have clickable cockpits.

To me, looks like a potential competitor to IL2, which has some slightly dated visuals, but runs well, has a LOT of existing content available, has a pretty good flight model and is a typically on sale VERY cheap.

Ok, so the PlayStation release date has been changed to 2025 with "system issues" (re the store!) being cited for the Sept release...

Anyways!

In the meantime a new video has been released and yeh, looking forward to this!!

Fianlly what looks like a decent WW2 simulator again, hope its as fun as World of Warplanes, but more realistic

An actual release date now (Feb)

If it is as good as the videos suggest, this is going to be great!

Definitely going to give this a shot. Unsure whether to buy it on PSVR or Steam. I normally buy my games on Meta/Quest but haven't really used my Quest with my PC. I should really as my PC is fairly new and has a spec (9800X3D / 5070Ti) which should provide a decent experience.

I'm honestly finding it hard to tolerate the Fresnel lenses/optics on the PSVR2 after using the pancake ones on Quest3 so think I might just sell the playstation headset (as I haven't really used it this year). Given it's a seated/cockpit game I guess using a USB cable for game streaming is an option if my WiFi signal isn't strong enough. I'd only been hangng onto the PSVR2 headset in the hope that Sony might release a new Wipeout game, or some exclusives, but it feels like Sony have pretty much abandoned support for it at this point.
