Acorns - Odd Thread

As far as I know, these:are called Acorns.

No hotlinking please.

However when I google image Acorns or search for Acorns on Google I'm getting pictures of other green bulb type things.

Is there another name or something?

What he said, acorns are from an oak tree I believe, these are not.

The picture you will get off google will be correct

haha - I just got a text off a mate saying he needed some acorns. I presume he means pine cones, though. I live near a park so that's maybe why he asked :confused:

i remember acors from my Infant school years (1994) if my maths works out right for the years.
All had on them were educational games with oversized pads to corrospond to onscreen icons

We had BBC's and even a Archimedes when I was at school...

Acorns popped up later, then they were all replaced with Viglens just as I left School!...

God I feel old!!..

We had 3 (oh the excess) BBC Model B in the IT department when I was at school, the rest were RM Links, including the beasty RM Link 480z with 2 5.25 floppy disk drives!!
