These certainly get great reviews. I'm very tempted but as I prefer more of a 2.0 than 2.1 bass biased sound, I'm wary without actually hearing them.

*tempted*

One question though, albeit a nooby question. They say that they have these inputs...

3 x RCA Phono - Line level
1 x Stereo Mini jack - Line level

What would you want 3 for? ... I know they exist but would have thought it would have just needed two, left and right.

What I want to use them for is to either play music from my personal MP3 player, or my pc.
Hmm, actually that'd probably be a pain as I'd have to plug in my headphones everytime I want to use them. I guess I still do need to be looking at getting one of those Creative Decoders (many inputs and many outputs).

edit: Nope, scrap that plan. Creatives 2.1 speakers can probably do what I want :D

ok but what about PC's. for £100 i'd want them to be LOUD thanks

Is PC loud different from iPod loud then?

These are the best 2.1's you can get, short of a stereo amp+bookshelf speakers tbh. Couple of months back and I would have bought them, but I'm after a 5.1 solution for my 360 now. Wish AE did some affordable 5.1 setups :/

Got them today - very nice. Perhaps not as impressive as I thought they might be, but they certainly do sound very good and I think I just need to play around with them a bit more. The bass is awesome. The monitors are a lot heavier than I expected - very well made.

I've had a set since December and I listen to 320kbps mp3's and they
sound excellent to me.

The good thing about them is that even with the computers volume set
to 50%, the volume knob on the speakers only needs to be about a 1/8th
to 1/4 of a turn from power on to be LOUD :D

Neil.

I bought these a few weeks ago, as my denon amp blew so i was in a shop looking to buy a new amp and this bloke talked me into getting these and all i can say is they are great i paid £100 and feel that these deserve a price tag of £200/250.

This week only deal go for it.

edit: one thing to add, you dont get the wall brackets for the two small speakers which is a shame.
