No. Firewire has virtually no overhead and will hit about 40-45MB/s but USB2 is pretty much limited to 30MB/s in real world terms; I am perfectly aware of the Mbit translation to MB.

Well my backup went "pete tong" took over a day and a half and still didn't work once loaded

I have done a fresh build now and will backup to the hidden partition on a seperate internal once it's been delivered..

Guys I did a backup last night and when I went to check if the archive was good I got this? Do I need to do another :confused:

Just tried again with nothing else running and it did the same thing? Is restore supposed to be off when I run it or summit?

I may just use Ghost

Doing a 'C' backup via Vista Ultimate, takes up more space but I have lots

Scrub that it took up 23gig which was less than Acronis (33)
