Action Man............RIP

One of my memory's as a child was desperately , desperately trying to get my action man to parachute off the stairs...out a window....off a tree

I had the actionman parachute also...It was utterly useless :D Eventually gave up on actionman and started making parachutes for little plastic soldiers from carrier bags.

Action man adverts were hilarious a few years ago:

NEW super ultra MEGA CHARGED ACTION MAN! With XTREME ROLLOR BLADES for catching the EVIL DR.X! Jump the cliff! Grind the Pipe Edge and press the button to reveal SECRET MISSILES!

Jesus christ, just say secret missiles and every 8 year old has to change his pants due to excitement.

That just ****ing sucks, i had a tonn of AM stuff, the bike with sidecar, the scorpion tank, the chopper, even that silly shaped submarine that would work if you could fill the bath to the bloody top and flood the bathroom!!

Ah this brings back memories. I had so much Action Man stuff when I was a kid, including the scorpion tank, a jeep, a helicopter, the scuba diver, deep sea diver, parachute, action men with beard, dark haired action man, blonde action man, etc, etc. I loved thethings at the time. Wish I'd kept them.

I Lol'd :D

The adverts were the best! Secret Missles, light up action, or sound action, and I was sold! And Raid, the alsation!

Can you still get Strike Force? I had the jeep + trailer, and a 8ton truck, used to go and invade Dr X's base in the other room, and get ambushed en route, they'd all spill out of the truck, kick ass + chew bubble gum, then continue with the raid :p

Nostalgic thread of the year? Everyone on here has had AM at some time in their lives

Hm, "special operations".

As well as Special Operations and traditional AM I also had Bullet Man who, I think, had some kind of hook in his back allowing him to go from one corner of a bedroom fortress to another using levers and pulleys and strings of my mum's wool.
