Active Display Port - Mini to DP Adaptor

Hi all,

Ive got myself 3 monitors for my eyefinity setup and have quickly realised there is more to getting your 3 monitors up and running than meets the eye - and its expensive!!!

Anyways, I have struggled to get hold of a active mini displayport adaptor but had an idea - get a normal active displayport adaptor then a mini to displayport adaptor to let me connect to my 5870....

Can anyone see why this wouldnt work or is it a decent idea???

I have heard of this working without any problems, so would say yeah go for it.
Remember also the apple active displayport adapter is a minidp but has very mixed reviews on reliability.

Thanks mate. Yeah I was those reviews of the apple hence the reason I am going this route.

In fact the reviews of the apple are pretty bad....

At least now I know....going to give it a go...

Or I think you can use a VGA adaptor.
