Well ive phoned quite a few of Sapphires stockists and the ones who have given me details have said they are getting them in stock on the 4th of Jan. Ill be getting some quotes sent to me, but I think they will be confirmed when they get them in stock.

But the only commercially available one who gave me a date, I use trade accounts, is a popular supplier with a date of 14/15th Jan.

Im not sure if OCUK are getting them but if they are then theres the target date to beat!

Going by info on WSGF the current Acell and Bizlink branded adaptors are hit and miss, sometimes it even works with a DP-> VGA adaptor!

If these are licensed by ATI and sold by Sapphire they should work faultlessly or they will be getting a LOT of returns.

I have asked OCUK about stock of these in numerous threads, including the product suggestion forum, to no reply whatsoever! If u need it and see it elsewhere i'd preorder it tbh (if u can get hould of a 5870 that is )

Oh and just to add, all Aceel/Bizzlink/Dell adapters are all the same, Just OEM's with their sticker on.
Someone needs to find that dam OEM supplier :)

Glad to hear it! :D

Creed -- just buy with caution .. as in .. don't feel absolutely gutted and annoyed with the entire world and post nasty things if your display monitor starts 'flickering' even though your using your sparkling brand new 'active display adaptor' and you're 100% sure it's all plugged in correctly..

It basically a work-around that works for approx. 50% of people. You may get lucky .. but I'd hate to see your day ruined if it doesn't quite do what it says on the tin ..

ps. Extra -- apparently it's got a greater chance of working if you plug in into a mains/usb charger thing rather than the comp. Something about the power variations in a comp's USB confusing the bejesus out of the comp or the adaptor or the monitor ...

true enough but at least it says eyefinity in the description so if it doesnt work u can send it back as faulty without having to pay shipping.
