ActiveSync causing BSOD

Hey guys, recently i'm having problems syncing my dopod818pro to my system through activesync 4.5

When ever it's connected and reaches the part where it's synchronising, my system gets BSOD..and if i leave the cable connected till the system reboots and reconnect on startup, it'll be fine..

Anyone can help?

If you are using Vista then you should be using Mobile Device Centre instead of ActiveSync.

little off topic but...

what really annoys me about activesync is that if you install it with itunes then itunes does not sync

Can't really help, but perhaps try installing ActiveSync 4.2 instead?
Also, I found a good little program called ActiveSyncToggle, which disables ActiveSync, then ends. Good for those of us who don't like ActiveSync running all the damned time.

hmm, seems like the cause of the problem is when i sync tasks from the phone to my system.. synchronizing contacts and calender works fine..
