Activision Blizzard the new PC gaming evil monster

I built myself a really good PC yet I feel like I'm having to play this (MW2) on a console. Eveyone in my office at work either has an xbox or PS3 and they constantly taunt me for having a PC.

PC gaming is dead...

troll much? PC Gaming is alive and well, I really cant be ****d to go into steam and wow and a million other reasons why but why not make life easier, buy a console and do both. but seriously, who in their right mind taunts a co-worker for having a PC? You really need to change your job, theyll be going on about your shoes next.

Maybe the 'PC Gaming is Dead' comment was OTT but I feel like it's heading that way.

I think it would be easier having a console sometimes so I wouldnt get constant abuse about gaming on a PC. :o

lol seriously, I must ask who gets abuse about their PC? The best way for you to settle this argument is if you could get PC players and console players into the same arena... but theres a good reason they wont allow that lol. In all honesty I would just say I like my gaming a bit deeper than anything two thumb sticks and 4 buttons can provide. I do have a PS3 and its great for a quick blast, but you wont find a good RTS or MMOG for the console.

I'm pretty sure the announcement of Starcraft 2 being split into 3 releases was made long before the merger with Activision.

You obviously don't work with a large group of extreme console fan boys. :D

8 console boys vs 1 PC Man. LOL...

I have a PS3 also. It gets used for Fifa 10 and Blurays...

While i would hate to have him as a boss, i dont see any mention of starcraft 2. Anyone would be stupid to think star craft would influence MW2 sales. If they were both FPS's then maybe but they appeal to different gamers so they dont really cross over.

I dont see it in Activisions plan to worry about the gamer who can only afford that one game every six months, unless the sale stats on MW2 is all they care about.

Having tried MW2 on pc and Xbox the controls feel so much more natural on the pc.

The pc will always be the no1 platform for 1st person shooters.

I still dont believe its the developers who decide the features of games. The fat cat publishers who know nothing about games but know about business and making money pull all of the strings.

Major rule in business is to make as much profit with as little expense as possible.

Exactly! And there's nothing whatsoever wrong with it. If I invest money in a company either directly or by buying shares, I'll be mightily miffed if they're not trying to do just that, all the time.

The thing to remember is that the profit comes from people buying games. People here are talking like they have no choice but to buy the game, therefore they're somehow being screwed over.

The fact is, if you pay money for it, you must think it's worth what you're paying, otherwise you wouldn't pay it. So what's the problem?

Activision have very little say on what goes on at Blizzard if anything its the other way round. The way the merger was done Blizzard very much wear the pants in the relationship as they put up the most money. The name may be Activision Blizzard but Blizzard Entertainment is still very much its own company.

Wouldnt surprise me once Battlenet 2.0 is fully operational and Blizzard can do their own digital distribution they buy themselves out and go it alone
