Activity LED

Hello everybody,

You'll probably think that this is a stupid question, but take into account I've done about 4 months worth of research and practice leading up to my very first custom build gaming rig. So I'm still a novice in this area

I have had a gander on this forums looking for an answer, but haven't found anything so far.

When building your own gaming rig, is the activity LED for your harddrive something is you have to install yourself? I mean, is it actually needed when building a rig?
