ad blocker for safari

I know this is topic that always gets discussed, I'm currently using Wipr on my mac with latest Catalina.

I have an issue where it keeps disabling itself under safari preferences extensions.

I have tried a few things with no success, such as restarting, uninstalling wipr and deleting the wipr preferences files via terminal.

I have given up now, so wondering what ad blocker you guys are using on the latest OS.

I had a public pi-hole up on a VPS but removed it this morning. I have my own private pi-hole for ad blocking and it's working great on about 15 devices across different family houses.

I did it cos someone asked about a public pi hole. It worked great as I tested it but decided not too go ahead with it.
