Adata sata ssd operating temperature

My adata sata ssd temps are in the mid 80s idle and reaching almost 100c when gaming! Is that normal? It's currently mounted behind the mb under the lhs panel but even when the panel is removed there's no difference in temperature?

That seems way too high! It will shorten the lifespan of the memory if it’s running too hot.

What are you using to check the temps and have you tried using CrystalDiskInfo?

Have you checked for updated firmware for the drive also, assuming Adata provide updates?

It's actually operating at 60c

Is it an rgb ssd? Linus did a video with an rgb ssd that was stupid hot because of the leds…

if it’s m.2 nvme buy an heatsink. They all run hot
