adding a second games and storage hdd after installing windows on the first?

hi, im running low on the space and atm i have a 160gb seagate, can i just plug in a second hard drive and then install, some games and move files around a bit for example i mean like this.
Buy HDD>Open pc>Plug in HDD>Start Up windows as normal>recognises new hd> windoes starts up>evrything looks same but theres a second hdd in my computer.
will it be like that?
i honestly cba to reinstall windows

Yup it's just like that, then just move files over.

You can't really move games over to the other drive, as you'd have to change registry settings so if you're looking to move them you'll need to install them on the new drive.

Then any new games your installing just tell it to install in the 2nd drive.
