Ok don’t laugh cos I have no clue if this is possible, I have a friend who works in education and he wanted to know if a school could add a Apple Mac to the existing setup, which is a win2003 server and xp clients.

If anyone has any input on this, it would be welcome

I *THINK* you can if you enable appletalk support on the server. And you might have to get some patch or plugin to make the MAC work. If it's got Client for microsoft networks built in your laughing, but you may have to DL and intall it.
I think the Macs at my old school were on the same domain as the XP workstations, which looked like AD so it was either Server 2000 or 2003. Probably SBS by the number of times it bjorked.

If it's OSX it will have Samba and be able to join a windows domain and use windows file/print sharing natively :).

weve has a osx laptop on the domain here no problems, altho it was the owner of the laptop who configured dint take him long at all
