Just wondering how much difference this would make?

Worth doing or is there a better way of spending ~£100?

Cheers

i have just got rid of my 2x asus radeon 4850's and to be honest i didnt notice any difference in crossfire.

all i noticed was the noise and heat.

i now have a 5770 and plays everything i used to when i had crossfire.

what game's and res do you play at.

i play at 1900x1200 with a 24inch monitor.

Game @ 1680 x 1050 on 22".

To be honest with you not sure if a new gfx card would help to much on the like of tf2 as still running a 6300 @ 2.8ghz.

Just wanting to make sure it can play some new releases...i.e. WAW2 etc,

I'm sure you'll see some decent increase in frame rates and you should also be able to play any game that comes out in the next 3-4 months but only with DX 10.1 max.But if you want to xfire 2xHD4850 you'll need a better CPU or you could clock that one to atleast 3.2-3.4Ghz to give the cards some room to breathe.

Cheers, well need to get a new motherboard as currently running memory in single channel due to some dodgey DIMM.

For the sake of £120ish I may go with the xfire to tie me over with the next few months.
