Adding codec support to Samsung TV?

'Allo all

Recently picked up a Samsung le40c530 TV and was wondering, is it possible to upgrade the codec support through USB playback? I noticed it's possible to upgrade the TV's firmware using a USB stick so is it possible to somehow add support for extra codecs?

Is it just USB or does it do streaming? With streaming it's easier as you can just get the PC to convert on the fly.

If it's just USB you're stuck with whatever Samsung deem you need in the firmware.
