Adding girls to my policy drops it loads!

My insurers refuse to allow my GF to drive my BM as a named driver due to her having a driving without due care conviction.

Fair enough you may say, just out of interest, I asked if I could put my daughter (aged10!) on the policy - "No problem" was the reply! :eek: I mean - WTF ???! :confused:
 
DRZ takes £30 off my policy, so he has been put on there from September along with mum. Thing is if i insure something and add him he takes money off most of the time and it is much cheaper than if he insures something and puts me on.
Our quotes were about the same when he had the mondeo of doom and i was the only driver on the policy for the Vectra.

My latest quote is £449.40 for TPFT :) yay

Do you care to say what the CD10 was for? :) lol @ the 10 year old comment. Would be funny if she got pulled over.

"Some silly old man hit me" is what she said about the accident (I was'nt going out with her at the time so I don't know what really happened!) - Make of that what you will..... ;)


I'm looking into my insurance as its up on the 17th, I'm going to see how much I can get it reduced by with a few extra drivers.....

£294.53 is my lowest fully comp quote with just me driving, this should be interesting! :D

Edit: Tried my sister, (age 34 clean licence blah blah) £314.10 ! - So much for that oldest one in the book then!

It seems to vary between insurers. With RAC addding other people, even higher risk people, seems to reduce the premium quite a lot. Very odd. However swiftcover/direct line charge more for other drivers!
