Hello,

I was told i should use my GTX8800 to go along side my XFX- BE 5970, but what are the procedures?, never looked at adding phsyX card before TBH. What i've read though somewhere is that Nvidia won't/don't support this configuration of sorts.

Any help or links would be useful thanks:)

Ooops wrong Forum (should be GFX section):o

in my eyes phsyx is a waste of time and money. just sell the 8800 and put the money towards something worth while. and yes nvidia wont allow phsyx while there is a ATI card is installed but there is a work around or something.

I have played one game where its really well implemented, but even then its eye candy, and not a major game mechanic. Talking of course of Batman Arkham Asylum.

I always thought after that game Id never want to not have physX again, as it is, Im using a 5870, and think its a complete waste of time now. Someone has also written a middleware which will run physx on an ati gpu. But that needs the old ageia physx drivers afaik.

Either way, dont worry bout it, sell card, get something else or save money w/e :)

Thanks for the replies.

Will keep the card i think,as i haven't got a backup card when (sorry; if)! my 5970 decides to fail me...
