Adding new hard drive, moving programs?

Hi all, I currently have my OS and a few progs on an SSD, and then my secondary progs and steam folder on a HDD. Steam folder has gotten huge so I'll be adding a 1TB drive to move it to. So far, no problems. There are also a few other games and large applications I want to move to the new drive.

Will I have to change drive letters around to make this work or can I just cutand paste?

I don't know what make of HD you bought, but, why don't you use Acronis to clone your HD, and move it to your new drive.

If You can plug the new HD in at the same time just format it and COPY everything over.
Switch off and disconnect old drive and windows should then call it "D:\" if it does not go into disk management and change it

obviously make sure You are showing hidden files etc
