My common sense could well have deserted me again, but i'm looking to add a 2 x 320GB drive RAID0 array to my existing build (One single 320GB boot drive).
I want the array seperate from the boot drive, so I have my 320GB OS drive, and then a seperate 640GB RAID0 volume in windows. Now I set my SATA configuration to RAID, pop into the Intel manager and setup the array, make sure its still booting off the right drive and upon loading windows it BSOD's (so brief you almost cant see it) and restarts the loop again. As soon as i set the SATA configuration to IDE it works fine, though obviously without the array.
So can this be done with the ICH10R onboard controller? Or do I have to have all sata ports RAID or IDE no exceptions?
