Do you do anything to your coffee at home?

Ages ago I found that microwaving milk would make it thicker but I rarely do that.

A few weeks ago I started added single cream along with milk, it's a nice thicker, creamy(duh) coffee. Then I substituted milk altogether for cream and felt like nothing was lost by removing milk.

Yesterday I bought double cream, it's noticeably thicker but otherwise the experience is the same.

As many extra calories as I can...nawwwwt.

Had full fat milk with coffee in Spain on holiday the other week most mornings and good lord :o tasty.

Just hot milk and coffee, don't use any water. Best way to enjoy coffee.

I've toyed with warm milk before. Put the usual amount of milk in the mug and microwave it until it starts foaming and reaches the top of the mug, then make coffee as normal. It makes the milk thicker so it's a bit like using cream.

I don't really like the idea of microwaving milk and heating 450ml of milk on the hob seems excessive.

Pure milk and coffee would be a latte wouldn't it?

Subbed this thread, as getting a bit bored with coffee at work.

How do you use coconut oil? All the examples I've seen need a blender, which isn't ideal for work.

Also thinking of trying cinnamon. I assume a sprinkle of ground would be fine, but also seen sticks left in the coffee cup. Anyone tried either?

I bought some cinnamon a little while ago, not something I usually buy so I must have been experimenting with something, probably coffee. I just rummaged through my cupboard but cannot find it so must have been thrown away so it was probably a year or 2 ago not "a little while ago"

Shame because I just heated 450ml of milk in the microwave, 2 teaspoons of coffee and 2 sweeteners and would have sprinkled some cinnamon if I had any after seeing your suggestion. As it is atm it's overly sweet overpowering the coffee so 1 or no sweeteners, and it's thick too like when I use double cream.

Drop it in, give it a stir.
It'll obviously separate out a bit faster if it's not been beaten to death in a blender but jut give it a good stir before you slurp.

Cinnamon doesn't dissolve so throwing a stick in would be the way to go; highly recommend :D

Only time I add something to coffee is when its too vile to drink on its own. Vile coffee is usually served at black tie dos in various places such as golf clubs, wedding venues etc.(I go to three or four of these a year)

Out of politeness I drink said coffee, usually with a small teaspoon of brown sugar or I eat an after dinner mint(s) to take the taste away  :p
