As above... I have 16GB (4x4) of Avexir Core Blue Quad channel 2400mhz memory and from what I've seen there's no more available in OCUK's store...

I have however seen some of the same 2400mhz Core Blue Series on the bay, but Its 8GB (2x4) of dual channel...

My Question is maybe slightly stupid but would 2 sets of these 2x4GB, making another 4x4GB, 16GB in total, add OK to my existing 16GB (4x4GB) of quad channel?

You know... Making it 32GB (8x4GB) of the same 2400mhz Avexir Core Blue series
and run as Quad channel?

I'm running an ASUS workstation board so it can handle it and the 4 slots are available...

Reading that back it seems like a question I should know the answer to, but the dual/quad thing has me a little confused as to whether its purely about the amount of sticks being used at one time or some actual pre-set configuration on the memory itself?...

Thanks in advance!

Quad channel is something your memory controller supports and is basically just a slightly optimised way of talking to four sticks of RAM at the same time, rather than talking to each one individually.

It doesn't have an effect on the number of sticks you can use at a time.

Where it gets a little confusing is memory retailers that package their RAM as "quad channel", whereas what they actually mean is "here are four sticks of the same RAM that we sell individually, but they're all from the same batch so behave very similarly", not quite as sexy sounding as quad channel.

But the TL;DR of it is yes, you can just go ahead and fill all 8 slots.
