im after some help on this. ive recently built a new pc up, however i am having difficulties putting additional hard drives to the system.
i am running an Asus Z77 Sabertooth motherboard with windows 7 (full system spec is i7 3770k [email protected], 16Gb skillsaw ram, gtx660ti, 800w thermaltake psu, v12 water cooling system). I have windows and the main program files running a treat for a samsung 840 pro series ssd. it was my intention to have a second samsung 840 pro ssd to store games on and a 1tb hd for storage of files etc.
the issue i am having is the computer allowing me access to the second ssd and the hd. i have connected them to the motherboard and when i go into the device manager they are listed but when i go into the properties it says they are inactive. from here i went into the bios and the bios is running AHCI and the bios says all the devices are enabled.
however when i go to my computer to access the drives they do not appear and for the life of me i cant get access to them. ive looked over the components and there are no jumpers to set them to a slave etc so i am at a loss!
any help would be greatly appreciated as this is the only thing i cant get resolved!!
