Additional Memory Question

Hi All,

My ASUS Hero VIII mobo has 2 x 4GB Corsair Vengeance LPX 2400 DDR4 memory installed and I'd like to take it up to 16GB with another 2 x 4GB of memory as the mobo apparently has 4 x DIMMS. Do I need to match what I have exactly?

Thats the easiest way to do it as it means it will work with no problems.

Yeah im pretty sure it will be ok but may run at the slower speed 2400mhz and not 3000mhz

Thanks very much. I'll assume the mobo will auto-detect the memory speed of the DIMMs and adjust accordingly?
