omg adecco completely sucks!

i had a job

i found a new job with adecco (mistake)

i resigned to start this new job (tech unemployed)

then adecco ask for references (fun begins)

adecco say job starts on tuesday, but i cant start until i provide reference

i contact uni for references, they say yes

uni send nothing by fri, im screwing

on saturday uni tutor tells me that he has sent reference (im ready to start)

tuesday i travel to job, after 1hr im told to go home because job starts weds (annoyed)

sitting at home relaxing, get a phone call at 4ish, its adecco and i need a personal reference by 5.30-6pm faxed over OTHERWISE I CANT START THE JOB

just spent the last 2 hr trying to get a neighbour to give me a reference, but he doesnt have a fax machine

called agent at 5.50, tell her ive done my best, but no reference cos no fax mach.

she says i can start the job tomorrow aslong as reference is faxed in morning, from library or something

Adecco are sharks, they dont give a monkeys

Sounds like normal agency to me, in future sort out all these before quitting old job, get the references and everything else sorted first.

they are messing me around

i spent £15 travelling to the job this morn

why call at 4 and ask for personal reference, how about last week, they never said anyhting about this until today

they drew me in with the tempting hourly pay, but then leave me to sort out this mess at the last minute

its lucky i live at home rent free and have no bills to pay

i just dont know what will happen tomorrow, will i get asked to go home half way through the day?

Agencies are all like this and generally a pain! so just be more careful next time and dont quit until they actually have it all sorted and arrange for you. Any company really interested in you will wait a couple of days for all the paper work to be sorted!
