I'd never really paid much attention to her before, however my girlfriend insisted that I give the album a go. Just purchased both 21 and then 19 (as it was only £3.99 on Amazon MP3).
Blimey they're both amazing. I'm sure many have heard her performance of Someone Like You at the Brits and certainly felt a wave of emotion?

I'm surprised there wasn't a thread regarding her recent album tbh.

Got both albums, very good stuff.
My girlfriend hated her 19 album but for whatever girl-related-emotional-flip, she loves 21...

Something about her voice annoys me and ruins that song for me. Some odd melodic choices that just cripple it emotionally to my ears.

What's the deal with "19" and "21"? Her age when she recorded them?

I have also just become aware of 'Adele', I love this type of music and have always liked female artists, where you can actually here them sing.

'21' is very good. Not heard '19' yet, 'someone like you' blows me away, gives me goose pimples. No idea why, but to me, that means something pretty special is in that voice.

Her music is played way way way way too much on the radio (Pirate FM here in Cornwall).

I'm pretty sick of it now to be honest :p

:edit: Hmm just did a search for more, it turns out the only ones I dislike are the ones that are overplayed :)

:Edit2: Hmm just had that wave of emotion you're talking about, wow.

Radio 2 play it a select amount.
She has been top of album charts for 10 weeks now, so airtime is to be expected, first time a female artist has done this.

I like her current stuff, pleasant to listen to.

I want to like her, I know she's talented, but I absolutely hate 'Rolling In The Deep'. I hate the rhythm, the general feel of it. I'm not sure why. I just have to change stations/channel when it comes on. Everything else I quite like, this one song just kills it.

Off topic but still kind of related... I hated 'Gnarls Barkley - Crazy' when it came out because everyone I knew liked it (too much hype). I couldn't listen to it but I love that song today, strange.

Have adored both Adele albums (19 & 21) she has a stunning voice - I find interviews with her hilarious - where she pulls that voice from astounds me! xx
