Adele - Enough is Enough

Have you only just started to get annoyed with the the Great Squawking One!? :eek:

I've been bouncing around radio stations ever since that god awful 'Someone Like You' came out. :(

Reasonable to very good artists who are played to death - people just get sick and tired of hearing the same song all the time. Over-promotion perhaps?

There is SO much autotuned garbage on the radio and it seems everyone has to have some kind of rap in the middle of the song these days - why?

I really like Gotye's 'Somebody that I used to know' track (especially the acoustic version on YouTube) but have heard it one too many times now, I only listen to the radio about an hour in total on the way to/from work.

agreed. radio often kills artists - james blunt for example by overplaying them.

i hate autotune. it automatically makes me think they cant sing.
 
Well I am going to be different and not follow the herd just to be "cool" and say I think Adele is a fantastic singer - whenever I hear her live it just shows to me how bad so many artists are as she can truly sing IMO.
 
I think there are far worse things in the world to be worrying about.

At the end of the day, at least Adele is a talented British Singer. She didn't come from a manufactured pop star show and she's isn't doing really annoying boy/girl band pop songs, so it could have been far worse.
 
Never listened to a single song of hers, if you were to pick one for me to listen to that shows off her talent and that get me hooked on her music...what will it be?
 
Sometimes I really don't understand people...

Whilst I understand that music can be overplayed, I've had people come up to me and say "I hate that song because it's overplayed" When I ask further they seem to like they actually like the music and everything they've just decided they hate the song because it's overplayed.... It just doesn't make sense...

She is a very good singer, but her music's not for everyone.

She's a sneaky success for the music industry - the act that doesn't look like just another conveyor-belt singer act - but if you look at the album credits it's all the usual names doing production etc. Will doubtlessly be tossed aside for something new by her label in a year or two, especially if she doesn't play the 'make the songs we want you to make' game, which has killed many a pop star's career as they decide they want to have more control over their output, put out tosh and get left on the kerb. 2mins to be famous then 2mins and it's all over. See 95% of female solo singers - one min the 'next big thing/that voice', the next, forgotten completely.
 
Really can't stand her music, just seems to be moaning about something/getting depressed.

Add to that she's not good looking which means there's no reason to watch her videos in addition to listen to her music :p
 
She has a great voice and some of her songs are quite good, but I will agree they are overplayed.

Same for Coldplay I find, have some catchy songs, but have been overplayed over the years.
