Adjusting cam pressure bolt for top hinged window

My bedroom window is letting some cold air in i was wondering if adjusting the cam bolt to increase the pressure will give it a tighter seal,at the moment the grove is pointing in the north position so away from me. Should the grove be pointing at the side or towards me or is it in the right position?

I will have to take a picture tomorrow. I know with side hung windows to make the pressure tight you move the cam mushroom marker point towards the seal, just wasn't sure if it's the same for top hung windows.
