I have set up a windows 7 laptop which loops a flash player file onto a large monitor. The animation contains sound and I would like to be able to turn the sound off at night but still play the animation on the screen. I would then like the sound to be turned back on again the next morning.

Does anybody know a way I can achieve this?

Many thanks

Take a look at this article. It describes creating a shortcut to mute sound, I assume there's an equivalent function in the utility it uses to unmute. Once you've got the shortcuts cracked it's simple to run them from task scheduler.
