Admin Lock Out

I have spectacularly managed to set the admin rights to a folder as deny. how can I revert this as I need to delete the folder in order to reinstall the softare.

What admin account are you? Can the super admin account unlock it? I'd just pop in a live cd and delete from there

Im on my user account which is Administrator.

Tried taking permission but that won't work.

As administrator, you will be able to get it back, it's just a case of how. Is it a sub folder? Have you taken ownership of the folder?

Does anyone else have full control or modify permissions to delete it ?

Its the Avira folder and some files within (managed to get rid of some of them)

Managed to get it down to 1 file left.

I have taken control of the top folder and all below it and set full control for administrators on all files and folders below it

Avira > AntiVir Desktop > shlext64.dll

Still cannot delete them.

Safe mode - it probably loads the dll on startup.
