Your not wrong you can get a drink, but the embassy bar is about the only place for that. You could also get beer in the hotel i was in, although it was $8 for a small tin. I'd still class it as "dry" though as there are quite tight limits on the amount of alcohol allowed into the country per foreigner.
And you've no chance of getting any work done by the locals in the afternoon as they all have a Chat/Gat (however its spelt) break about 2pm.
